Life Drawing 06

Life Drawing 06

Today's life drawing was aimed more towards animation. most of the poses were only maybe 5 minutes at most. We also did an exercise later on where we put the model in a story and drew him at different parts of the narrative. I still get frustrated at not being able to draw what's in front of me sometimes...

This sheet below is the narrative exercise, I am going to put the narrative so it is never lost.

The bottom of this page has the model in a car in a traffic jam, there is an obnoxious man in the next car over playing loud music.

He notices a jam doughnut on the passenger seat. He grabs it, bites it. Then it turns out the jam doughnut was actually an apple doughnut and the model is allergic to it.

The man from the next car over happens to be a doctor and jabs him with a needle to ease the symptoms...they fall in love...of course. If someone jabbed me with a needle, I would be all over them.

The bottom of this page starts the next narrative, a man is raking leaves in his front garden and he suddenly finds something on the ground.

It suddenly activates and it happens to be a lightsaber (but he doesn't know what that is).
He then examines it and uses it to cut trim the top of his hedge to which he needs to put the fire out afterwards.

Summary:

This exercise made life drawing fun for me and I thought less about the overall appearance and more about the arcs of the body and the motion of it.
