Walk Cycle
Today I quickly finished this walk cycle with the usual 24 frames spacing. Hopefully tomorrow I will finish my second walk cycle I started today.
The idea with this walk cycle was to get back into animating but I have realised my weakness with walk cycles. I have always followed the 24 frame walk cycle but this is obviously holding me back. My next few walk cycles will be me experimenting with timing and exaggeration. As I mentioned in the post before, Brian Robinson mentioned about looking at the articulation of the body to help with my exaggeration. Essentially my exaggeration should be grounded on realism (the realistic articulation of the human body).
There is plenty to critique here, the head doesn't move consistently and the arms are too stiff, he also looks like he has a limp which wasn't intended.
Here are my quick thumbnails for this animation below.

Summary:
This walk cycle is another learning curve, I want to continue doing walk cycles for the week to improve my timing in them. This is something I want to force myself to improve on since it will allow me to hopefully be able to take a character and create a wide range of walk cycles using timing as the foundations. Timing can easily change the mood of walk, faster can imply anger or eagerness, slower can imply sadness or slothfulness.
